I'm Lovin' MAC

I had always heard how wonderful MAC Cosmetics were but never considered them for me. I was pretty set on my drugstore brands and various Clinique products, including their foundation. 


However, yesterday took a disappointing turn with Clinique foundation so now I have been on the hunt for a new one. Where did I find my new one? You may ask! Well, it was on Church Street in High Street Kensington. 


I walked in and was immediately greeted by various NICE makeup artists. I would say four makeup artists were stationed at various counters. 


The woman who assisted me (I can't remember her name, darn!) was friendly, nice and eager to help me find my "right" shade. She went more into detail with the questions she asked. For example, she was asking me question like "what kind of coverage do you want?" "What type is your skin?" "What texture are you looking for?" "Do you want a glow, a slight glow or no glow?" 

She picked out the shade NC20 and the foundation was MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation. She tried both a lighter color and a slightly darker one. She even advised me to take a mirror and go into the natural light. I FELL IN LOVE! I thought the foundation gave me great coverage, it definitely covered my blemishes. I felt it wasn't heavy on my skin AND this might sound odd but I definitely felt and saw that it created some form of cheekbones without contouring them. 

Maybe it is just my imagination or wishful thinking. 

I loved her smokey eye eye look, so she very kindly should be step by step how to do it. The look (pictured below) is so easy. She showed me how to do it, while explaining every step she did very clearly. The right was her creation and then I tried to copy it, while she guiding me on the left side. 

I'll definitely do a vlog later on my youtube channel about the products she used for this look. 

She also wrote all the products done for me, how nice?

Any other MAC fans out there? I have officially been converted :).
